Just a few days left now and I am continuously getting excited about my trip! Thy, Christian, Lupo, Roman and Doris and also Christina as well as Edgar have been so helpful in the last weeks with giving good advice and telling me about all those places I am going to see soon myself. Indeed, they told me so much that I fear, six weeks in a row is just to little time to see everything 🙂
My (rough) travel itinerary currently looks like this:
- Flying to Bangkok, staying there to get acclimatised
- A day-trip to Kanchanaburi
- By bus (don’t worry Ma and Pa, it’s going to be the tourist buses) to Chiang Mai in the north, passing (and staying) at
- Ayuthaya
- Lopburi
- Sukhothai
- Chiang Mai – Siem Reap (Cambodia) to see Angkor Wat
- Boat tour via Tonle Sap towards Phnom Penh, staying there for a couple of days
- Phnom Penh – Hanoi (Vietnam) by plane:
- Hanoi and Halong Bay
- via the coast towards Hue, Da Nang, Hoi An, Na Trang
- Ho Chi Minh City (the former Saigon)
- Flight to Bangkok and from there to Koh Tao (Thailand)
- Diving one week at Koh Tao
- Return to Bangkok and prepare for returning home
My flight back will be at the 26th March, so I will be back in Austria on 27th in the (early) morning, hopefully with some tan and a lot of wonderful experiences 🙂
Stay posted, as this blog will be continued and articles will appear as often as possible.
